How to Set Up Group Message Scheduling

Overview

Using Group Message Scheduling, you can schedule SMSs for multiple campaign members to be sent at a particular time. This allows you to create campaign related messages when time is available during the course of your day. This also allows messages to be received by the campaign members at the same time at a more appropriate time of day.

  1. Select the Campaign members for whom you want to schedule a message.
  2. Click Schedule a message to select the message details.
  3. Enter the date and time to send the message.

  4. Enter the message body, Select an Action from the drop-down list, and click Schedule.
  5. After the message is scheduled, it is displayed in the Scheduled Messages section.

1 Schedule a Message Select all the recipients, then click the Schedule a Message button. Enter Date, Time, Message body, choose an action, and click Schedule to schedule a message. Enter the input values. After clicking Schedule, a record is created on Schedule Message object with the received values. After the scheduling time, a record is created on SMS Storage object with the values received. Message is displayed on the chat window. After the schedule date and time, message was visible in the chat windows. A record is created on the SMS Storage object with the received values.

SMS Status

When an SMS is sent from Salesforce to the SmartFlows, the recordId of the newly created message record is delivered with the message details to the SmartFlows. The SmartFlows then send the message to the Phone Number. Depending on the status of the message sent from SmartFlows to the phone, the SmartFlows send the status to Salesforce and it is updated in the related SMS record.
